2012 Jaguar XKR-S

Jaguar XKR-S 2012 Jaguar has made a big appearance again at every Geneva Motor Show a few years iin the new model is set to push his machine to a faster speed. Last year, one of the most impressive models launched in the market is the Jaguar XKR-S the new, and now the Jaguars return to Geneva with a topless version of the same RS model. An insider revealed to AutoExpress that the Jaguar XK soft-top will also get the RS badge. Apparently, "the car was designed as a convertible", so the company will not actually need to add extra strengthening to cope with 550 HP and 501 lb / ft of torque generated by AJ-V8 engine with all-aluminum twin-vortex Roots-type supercharger.

The exterior design of XKR-S is still referred to the previous XKR, which has the luxurious and athletic body. However, the company won’t allow the total similarity to XKR-S.  The impression of futuristic sporty is directly reflected when you’re standing next to it. The exterior changes include an elegant carbon-fiber splitter, the hood vents as an engine exhibitor, an upgraded carbon fiber rear wing and diffuser, four big round polished steel exhaust pipes, a new front fascia with a blacked-out grille and turning vanes.

One of the most important changes to the XKR-S is discovered under the hood. The powertrain 0f V8 is still the same, but the power has been upgraded. The power is significantly improved from 503 hp and 461 lb-ft of torque to 550 hp at 6000 rpm and 502 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar claims that the performance test of XKR-S is 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds.
